Carpenter Ant: The Order; Hymenoptera ( Ants, Bees, Wasps) includes the Family; Formicidae of Ants, the most numerous of all terrestrials and serious trout food. Trout are known to consistently feed selectively on ants even in the middle of an aquatic insect hatch. It has been theorized that ants simply taste good to fish. This pattern is easy to see with its fluorescent orange indicator.
