This Selection is of the giant Mayfly known as Hexagenia limbata the Great Olive-Winged Drake commonly known as the Michigan Caddis or more simply called the “Hex Hatch”. This species is distributed across the entire US with exceptionally large populations in the Midwest and West. The Western populations extend from New Mexico all the way north to Alaska. Spinner falls coincide with the hatch and usually run between 9 PM and Midnight during warm evenings. Cool overcast days may produce spinner falls many hours earlier as the insects are fooled that evening is coming. When it comes to bringing huge trout to the surface there is nothing that rivals a good Hex Hatch at night. In this Selection you will find two each Hex Adult Dun sizes 4 & 6, Loco Hexagena Parachute size 6, Hexagena Parachute size 6, a Hex Spinner size 4, a Hex Emerger size 6, a Hex Cripple size 6 and a Hex Nymph size 6. If you are lucky enough to get the opportunity to fish the Hex Hatch this Selection will suit your needs smartly
