This Selection of Damsel Fly patterns represents the Scientific Order Odonata that contains over 450 individual species of Damselflies and Dragonflies. The Odonata larval stage is an important as a food source to trout more so than the adult stage. Prior to hatching, Odonata nymphs swim towards the banks or shore with a distinctive wiggle as they look for vegetation to crawl up on. Fishing this nymph in from deeper water is the trick. Fishing the adult stage has its importance as a mid- summer fill in when there is no visible aquatic insect hatch. Seeing a trout take an adult damsel dry is a spectacular site as they usually take it with vigor. Damsel flies are also a must for all types of lake fishing both High Country and Low Land. This Selection contains three each Adult Damsel patterns size 14 in both Olive and Red, Burks Adult Damsel size 10 in Blue, Parachute Damsel size 12 in both Blue and Olive and finally a Damsel Nymph in size 10. This selection will also come in handy fly fishing for Panfish with the dry flies (especially the parachutes) and Carp with the nymph pattern
