This is a real good looking Nymph that works well in dark or stained water situations.

The Clouser Swimming Nymph has a reputation of being one of the best producing Carp patterns going. It also works on Smallmouth, Panfish, Trout and even Steelhead. It can imitate a whole host of prey species including stonefly nymphs, damselfly nymphs, dragonfly nymphs, leeches, soft-shell crayfish and even tadpoles. It works very well in shallow water where it should be fished slow in a series of alternating stripes or crawled across the rocks. In current it can also be fished in a dead drift. We like to cast it right in front of the carp’s nose then once it hits bottom begin the slow striping until you come tight.
