Drake Nymph: The Family Ephemeridae consists of the silt-dwelling burrowers that include the famous hatches of Ephemera guttulata (Green Drake) and Ephemera simulans (Brown Drake). These nymphs build burrows into fine gravel and silt deposits of slow to moderate flowing stretches of rivers and streams. These creatures are light and heat sensitive so the water temperature must not exceed 67 degrees at any time.
