Muddler Minnow: Muddler is a local term for the freshwater Sculpin belonging to the Order Scorpaeniformes. The pattern creation was credited to Dan Gapen who tied it to fish Canadian Brookies. It does bear a strong resemblance to a spun deerhair minnow imitation created by Ludwig Moedler in the late 1800's. Nonetheless this is a terrific old streamer pattern that has passed the test of time.
