12" Aussie Red Head Scad Fly 8/0X8/0 Tandem Hooks: Scad refers to a small group of baitfish in the Scientific Family; Decapterus which includes the Redtail Scad (Speedo), Round Scad (Cigar Minnow) and the Bigeye Scad (Goggle-eye). They are all great baitfish in their own right but it is the Redtail Scad that bears a strong resemblance to this fly. At 12" long this is one of our biggest and longest flies with a real reputation for getting bit. You do not need to be in Austrian waters to fish this beauty.
