Net Builder Caddis: This is a good imitation of the genus Hydropsyche, also known as net-spinning caddis or gray caddis. Well populated across the United States their preferred habitat is riffles and runs of streams and rivers. They often drift in the current so trout will feed on them year-round. A good tactic for this pattern is to dead-drift it near the bottom where it can be effective in spring and fall, and even in winter. This pattern is a very natural looking imitation.
