Caddis Pupa Bead Head: This is good imitation of a Caddis Pupa just prior to emergence. For best results it should be fished on a dead drift close to the bottom moving along with the current. Just prior to emergence a Caddis Pupa will free itself from its cocoon and drift in the current for ten to twenty feet as it fills its sheath with gas for the assent to the surface. Trout are conditioned to feed on the dead drifting pupae.
