Trude: As the story goes in 1906, Carter Harrison of Chicago, IL was fishing at the AS. Trude Ranch near Big Springs ID. While relaxing one evening he took red yarn from a cabin rug and hair from the resident red spaniel and created the first Trude. Word spread quickly of the new fly that caught more fish than you could carry. Of significance here is the first use of a Hairwing in place of feathers.
