Caddis Larva: This pattern primarily represents the free living larva stage of the Family Rhyacophilidae (3 genera) that roam freely over the bottom rocks with some species leaving a silk line wherever they go. The Genus R. Rhyacophila (Green Sedge) contains over one hundred individual species that mostly inhabit fast water making this pattern is especially effective in fast water.
