Articulated Leech: Leeches ( Annelida, Hirudinea) are flattened segmented worms that range in size from 5mm to over 400 mm in length. They are often mottled and brightly colored although some common species are simply black. There are more than sixty three individual species in North America many of which are important trout prey. This pattern is articulated giving it plenty of motion and an excellent choice for slow water.
